Files stay on your device
Image and PDF files selected in the current tools are processed locally by browser JavaScript. The plugin does not save those selected files to the DPB Media Library.
Digital Pulse Brief Tools
Compress, resize, crop and convert images, handle HEIC/HEIF files, merge or split PDFs, generate QR codes, check color contrast and use practical web utilities — with browser-based processing wherever practical and no account required.
Digital Pulse Brief Tools is a free utility collection for common image, PDF, design and web tasks. The tools are built for quick jobs such as reducing image file size, converting iPhone HEIC photos, resizing graphics, combining PDFs, checking contrast ratios and generating web metadata. File-processing tools are designed to work on the visitor’s device rather than through a WordPress upload endpoint.
Search intent: choose the task you need, open the matching tool below, process your file or input, and download or copy the result. Tool limits depend on browser support and device memory.
Use these free online image tools for common web, email, social and document workflows. The collection covers compression, resizing, cropping, HEIC conversion, WebP/AVIF conversion, image metadata checks and image-to-PDF tasks.
Handle everyday PDF organization directly in the browser. Combine documents, split pages, extract ranges, reorder a file, create PDFs from images or reduce image-heavy PDF size with clearly stated trade-offs.
Use lightweight web and design helpers for QR codes, accessibility contrast, CSS sizing, social-image dimensions, metadata generation and text measurement.
For the current file tools, the plugin provides no WordPress upload endpoint. Processing happens in the visitor’s browser, which reduces server-side file handling and keeps tool workloads off the main Digital Pulse Brief publishing stack.

The tool libraries are loaded when their shortcodes render. Regular news articles and core site pages do not need these libraries, so the utility workload stays isolated from normal editorial browsing.
HEIC, AVIF and PDF behavior can vary by browser. PDF compression here is lossy for image-heavy documents and may rasterize pages, so selectable text, forms and vector data may not be preserved.
Quick answers about supported formats, privacy, mobile use and the practical limitations of browser-based processing.
Yes. The tools on this page can be used without creating an account or purchasing a paid API plan.
The current DPB Tools plugin does not provide a file-upload endpoint for these utilities. Selected files are processed in the browser by the tool code. Other ordinary website requests, such as loading page assets, analytics or consent-controlled advertising, are separate from the file itself.
Yes. The HEIC/HEIF converter supports converting compatible Apple photo files to JPG or PNG. The universal image converter can also handle HEIC/HEIF where the decoder supports the file.
The image utilities cover JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and HEIC/HEIF across the relevant tools. AVIF encoding and decoding can depend on browser support, and the tool reports an error rather than silently producing an incorrect file.
Yes. The PDF utilities can merge documents, split pages, extract selected ranges, reorder pages and create PDFs from images. PDF compression is intended mainly for image-heavy files and is lossy because pages may be rasterized.
They are responsive and designed for modern mobile browsers, but large files and large batches can be limited by the memory available on the device.
